• To initiate and implement research activities directly or indirectly connected, on the alternative uses of Arecanut and its by products.

• To promote any activities to increase the consumption of Arecanut and its byproducts in India as well as abroad.

• To organise periodic seminars/workshops/conferences to guide and educate agriculturists and consumers.

• To initiate research on mechanisation in areca cultivation as well as processing and to adopt the same for the benefit of the growers.

• To do all that is necessary to achieve the upliftment and welfare of areca growers and join hands with other associations if found necessary.

• To encourage inventors in the field of agriculture to obtain patents and protect their rights to intellectual property.
